4 Days Camping Tour, Chimpanzee Tracking in Murchison falls wildlife park.
ITINERARY - 4 Days Camping tour in Uganda
Day 1 – Kampala - Murchison Falls
After breakfast, set off for Murchison falls early in the morning, a journey of 4-5 hours, via Luwero triangle. Have a stopover visit to the Rhino sanctuary in Nakasongola. Have lunch in Masindi around 1300hrs before proceeding to Murchison falls. You will go to see the top of the waters of the river Nile, exploding violently through a narrow cleft in the Rift Valley escarpment after checking in the Lodge of choice which range from low budget to Luxurious high cost. Red chilli, paraa lodge, and sambiya river lodge are the options. Game viewing in the evening if time allows, then Dinner and Overnight at the selected hotel will mark the end of day one.
Day 2. Game drive and boat cruise
After breakfast, there will be morning game drives through the northern part of the park. Proceed to the Nile for a launch trip from Paraa to the bottom of the mighty Murchison falls. Have lunch and then game viewing a long the river. At the river shorelines you may see some of the largest few remaining African crocodiles basking from the river banks as well as hippos, elephants and birds, including the rare shoebill stork. Dinner and Overnight
Day 3. Nature walk and game drives.
After breakfast take on a morning visit to the delta circuit, north of the river where you will enjoy the beautiful scenery. You may also see different animals which include giraffes, lions and Ugandan kob. Relax from the campsite and have lunch and go for spot fishing along the Nile. Then dinner and overnight.
Day 4. Primate trekking and depart to Kampala.
After breakfast, you will go to Kaniyo Pabidi, in Budongo forest the largest Mahogany forest in East Africa, where you will be able to track primates especially the chimpanzee and the baboons. Different bird species and butterflies will also be seen as well as tree species. From here you will also be able to view the blue mountains of Congo and the Rift Valley Escarpment. Then begin the journey to Kampala, where lunch can be taken from Masindi enroute, and arrive in Kampala late in the evening, ending the tour to Murchison falls national park.
