2 Day Bwindi Gorilla Trek from Kigali

This is a short gorilla tour / trek in Bwindi National park (South western Uganda), but starts and ends in Kigali. It is just 3-4 hours drive from Kigali (Rwanda) to the Impenetrable Bwindi Forests.

ITINERARY

DAY 1: Transfer to Bwindi Impenetrable Forest
Breakfast at the hotel and proceed for a city tour in Kigali, visit Gisozi genocide memorial museum, lunch and hit the road to Rwanda-Uganda boarder, southern Bwindi National Park, located in south-western Uganda. The 3-4hour journey takes you through beautiful scenery and majestic rolling hills that characterize much of Rwanda. Dinner and overnight stay at Gorilla safari lodge (luxury) / Travelers rest hotel (Mid level) / Kisoro tourist hotel (Budget).

DAY 2: Gorilla tracking, departure
Early morning breakfast and drive to the park head quarters for briefing about the dos and don’ts while with the gorillas. With our packed lunch and water, penetrate the impenetrable Bwindi jungles in search for the critically endangered mountain gorillas. Sight and stay with these Gentle Giants is one hour maximum, then descend from the forest and drive back to Kigali where there tour ends.
