Tour Itinerary:
Day 1: Kampala to Fort Portal
Our tour guide will transfer you from Kampala to Kibale Forest national park. It is a 3 to 4 hours drive to Fort Portal. Overnight stay at Mountains Of the Moon Hotel
Day 2: Chimpanzee Tracking
Go chimpanzees tracking in the morning and in the afternoon a nature walk in Bigodi wetland sanctuary for birding and primates trekking where you expect to meet different monkey. Overnight stay at Mountains Of the Moon Hotel
Day 3: Kibale to Queen Elizabeth national park
After breakfast, transfer to Queen Elizabeth national park. In the afternoon enjoy a boat cruise along the wildlife congested Kazinga Channel between Lakes Edward and George. Dinner and overnight at Mweya Safari Lodge.
Day 4: Game drive in Queen Elizabeth national park
Wake up for the early risers in the park. Enjoy a game drive in the northern sector of the park expecting to see a lot of antelope species, buffaloes, elephants and lions, etc. In the afternoon enjoy a nature walk either in the Maramagambo Forest or visit the crater lakes including the Katwe salt extraction site. Dinner and overnight at Mweya Safari Lodge
Day 4: Queen Elizabeth - Bwindi
In the morning, after breakfast, transfer to Bwindi Impenetrable Forest national park via Ishasha game reserve for viewing tree climbing lions. Arrive in Bwindi in the evening. Dinner and overnight at Bwindi Silverback Lodge / Buhoma Community Rest Camp
Day 5: Gorilla trekking in Bwindi
After breakfast, hike to the park headquarters at Buhoma for briefing from the park wardens before commencing the gorilla trek. Normally gorilla trekking activity lasts from 2 hours to a full day depending on the movement of the mountain gorillas in the wilderness.
Day 6: Transfer to Lake Bunyonyi
After breakfast traverse the famous “Switzerland of Africa” to Lake Bunyonyi for a boat cruise. Overnight stay at Arcadia Cottages
Day 7: Lake Bunyonyi to Lake Mburo national park
After breakfast transfer to Lake Mburo national park with lunch en route in Mbarara. In the afternoon enjoy a boat cruise on Lake Mburo. Overnight stay at Arcadia Cottages – Lake Mburo.
Day 8: Game drive in Lake Mburo
Enjoy a morning game drive and a nature walk before driving back to Kampala. Overnight stay at Golf Course Hotel / The Lodge Kampala.
Day 9: Kampala city tour and airport transfer
This day enjoy a Kamapala city tour as you visit the handicrafts shops for souvenirs. Later we shall transfer you to the airport for your scheduled flight.
