Passports:
All the nationals referred to above must have their passports valid for at least six months.

Visas:
All nationals referred to, above, must acquire Rwanda visa, except:-
Required by all nationals referred to in the chart above except:

Burundi, Democratic Republic of Congo, Hong Kong, Germany, South Africa, Sweden, Uganda, Kenya, United Kingdom, United States of America, Tanzania and Mauritius for stays up to 3 months;

(ii) Transit passengers proceeding on their trip within 24 hours by the same or first connecting aircraft, provided holding onward or return documentation and not leaving the airport.

Visa Note:

(a) A single-entry visa on arrival is only granted to nationals who do not have a Rwandan embassy or consulate in their country. Those who intend to apply for a multiple entry visa should visit:  www.migration.gov.rw

(b) Tourist and visitor visas can be presented for renewal at the immigration department for a charge of FRW 25,000.

 

As of November 1, 2010, a visa is required for all Canadians traveling to Rwanda. A tourist visa is valid for stays of up to 90 days and costs US$30. A single-entry visa is available online only. It is valid for 15 days, and can be renewed once, for up to 90 days, by applying directly at the Rwandan Directorate General of Immigration and Emigration in Kacyiru, Kigali, before the visa's expiry date.

 

Rwanda tourist visa is not required for citizens of United States for a stay up to 90 days.
