Gorilla Tour

DAY 1: Kigali city tour and travel to Volcanoes National park.
Our representative will meet you at the hotel in Kigali, brief you about the safari, go for a city tour in Kigali, visit Gisozi genocide memorial museum, local art/craft and fruits market, here you can choose your fruit basket. Have lunch and hit the road to parc national des volcans, a home to mountain gorillas. You will have a beautiful scenic view of the Virunga Mountains en route. Dinner and overnight stay at Gorillas Nest Lodge (Luxury) / Le Bambou gorilla lodge (Deluxe) / Kinigi Guest Lodge (Budget).

DAY 2: Gorilla trekking experience
After your breakfast, proceed for briefing at the park headquarters with packed lunch about the dos and don’ts while with gorillas. The trek takes 2-7 hours depsnding on the movement of the gorillas. Sight and stay with these gentle giants is 1 hour maximum for observation and photographing. Descend to the lodge for late lunch, time permitting, we may go for a cultural tour in the Banyarwanda local community. Dinner and overnight stay at Gorilla Nest Lodge (Luxury) / Le Bambou Gorilla Lodge (Deluxe) / Kinigi Guest Lodge (Budget).

DAY 3: Transfer to Nyungwe forest.
Have breakfast and drive southwards to Nyungwe forest. Lunch and visit to Mirambi genocide memorial site and Royal palace en route. Proceed for dinner and overnight stay at Gisakura Guest house (Budget) / Nyungwe Forest lodge (luxury) / Peace Guest house.

DAY 4: Chimp tracking excursion
Take breakfast and head to the park headquarters to be briefed about the chimpanzees. Proceed to the forest for the adventurous activity of wild chimpanzee tracking. Expect an encounter with other primates such as colobus monkeys, red-tailed & vervets, Mangabeys and Giant forst hogs among others. Dinner and overnight stay at Gisakura Guest house / Nyungwe forest lodge.

DAY 5: Departure.
After your breakfast in the morning, you will drive to back to Kigali for your flight back home.
