5 DAYS QUEEN ELIZABETH AND KIBALE NATIONAL PARK TOUR IN UGANDA
TOUR ITINERARY: Uganda wildlife tour and Chimpanzee tracking safari in Uganda
Day 1: Transfer to Queen Elizabeth national park.
In the morning, you will set off southwestwards to Queen Elizabeth national park on the foots of Mt. Rwenzori. You will have stop over at the equator line for photography, and proceed to Mbarara, where you will have your relaxed lunch before continuing the journey to Queen Elizabeth national park, passing through plain green fields. You will have game drive on the way into the park, where you will spot animals like elephants, buffalo, hyenas, and many more. Dinner and overnight at Mweya safari lodge/Jacana safari lodge/Institute of ecology.
Day 2: Game drive and Boat cruise.
Early morning, you will go for morning game drives to catch up will early risers before they return to their hideouts. You will view animals like lions, leopard, antelopes, bush bucks and many more. Return to the hotel for later breakfast, relax at the hotel and wait for your l7unch. In the afternoon, assemble at the Kazinga channel where you will have a boat cruise. This will help you with an opportunity to view schools of hippos, crocodiles, and variety of water birds like shoebill stork, heron, kingfisher, and many more. Dinner and overnight at your hotel.
Day 3: Queen Elizabeth – Kibale National park.
In the morning, drive to Kibale national park, a home to over 13 primate species and a variety of bird species. It is famous for chimpanzee tracking. Settle in Fort Portal for dinner and overnight.
Day 4: chimpanzee tracking and Nature walk.
In the morning, drive to Kibale forest national park and beginning the tracking of the amazing chimpanzees. You will also see other primates like colobus monkeys, golden monkeys, grey cheeked mangabey, pottos, baboons, vervet monkeys, and many more. Other animals like elephant, hyenas, forest hogs, leopard may be spotted.
In the afternoon, move to Bigodi wetland sanctuary for nature walk. A variety of bird species like the blue Turaco and papyrus gonolek will be viewed among the over 137 recorded species.. Later return to Fort Portal for dinner and overnight.
Day 5: Transfer to Kampala
After your relaxed breakfast, start your scenic journey back to Kampala with stop over on the way to do shopping. Reach Kampala in the afternoon and settle in your hotel. If your outbound flight is on schedule, you will be transferred to the airport for your flight.
