5 DAYS UGANDA TOUR TO KIBALE AND BWINDI GORILLA FOREST
ITINERARY: 5 Days Chimpanzee Tracking and Gorilla Tracking Uganda
Day 1: Travel to Kibale National park
In the morning, you will start a scenic journey to Kibale national park, a home of over 13 primate species and over 60 mammal species. Settle in Beautiful town of Fort Portal for dinner and overnight at mountains of the Moon hotel.
Day 2: chimpanzee tracking and Nature walk.
In the morning, drive to Kibale forest national park and beginning the tracking of the amazing chimpanzees. You will also see other primates like colobus monkeys, golden monkeys, grey cheeked mangabey, pottos, baboons, vervet monkeys, and many more. Other animals like elephant, hyenas, forest hogs, leopard may be spotted.
In the afternoon, move to Bigodi wetland sanctuary for nature walk. A variety of bird species like the blue Turaco and papyrus gonolek will be viewed among the over 137 recorded species. Later return to Fort Portal for dinner and overnight.
Day 3: Travel to Bwindi Impenetrable national park.
In the morning, set off for the journey to Bwindi impenetrable national park, a journey that will take you through green mountains and plain fields as well as plantations. Reach Bwindi in the afternoon, and settle at Buhoma community bandas/Gorilla rest camp for dinner and overnight.
Day 4: Gorilla tracking adventure
After your early breakfast, move to the park headquarters with your trekking gear and parked lunch for briefing before proceeding for the most adventurous and exciting activity. Meeting these amazing apes may take you 2-6 hours depending on how easily you located their movements and a maximum of one hour will be allowed with the Gorillas. Retreat to your lodge for dinner and overnight.
Day 5: Travel back to Kampala.
In the morning, you will begin your scenic drive back to Kampala. You will have stopover in Mbarara for lunch before proceeding to Kampala. Stop at the equator for photography and do shopping of art craft on the way. You will be dropped to your hotel for dinner and overnight.
