8 Day Uganda Safari Highlights, Gorilla Safari Adventure

DETAILED ITINERARY - Uganda Gorilla safari Adventure
Day 1: Kampala to Murchison Falls National Park.
You will be picked from the hotel and transfer to Murchison falls early in the morning. Have a stopover visit to the Rhino sanctuary. Have en route lunch at Masindi. Proceed to Murchison falls to see the top of the waters of the river Nile, exploding violently through a narrow cleft in the Rift Valley escarpment.  Dinner and Overnight at Paraa Safari Lodge (Luxury) / Sambiya River Lodge (Deluxe) / Red Chilli Rest Camp (Budget).

 

Day 2: Game drive and Boat Cruise
Have a cup of coffee and go for a morning game drive around the park expecting to see the Hyenas, Leopards, elephants, hartebeests, Oribis, Uganda Kobs, giraffes among others. After lunch, you will go for a boat ride on the Victoria Nile that takes you to the bottom of the falls hoping to view the Crocodiles, Hippos, elephants, buffaloes, and plenty of birds like the Kingfishers. Dinner and Overnight at Paraa Safari Lodge (Luxury) / Sambiya River Lodge (Deluxe) / Red Chilli Rest Camp (Budget).

 

Day 3: Transfer to Kibale National Park.
Take breakfast and drive to Kibale National Park through a remarkable rural country side filled with interesting natural escarpments as well as local homesteads. Lunch enroute and proceed. Dinner and overnight at Ndali Lodge (Luxury) / Mountains of the moon (Deluxe) / Rwenzori Guest House (Budget).

 

Day 4: Chimpanzee tracking / Transfer to Queen Elizabeth
After breakfast you will transfer to Kibale NP Headquarters to be briefed about the “dos and don’ts” while with the chimps. After lunch, you will drive to Queen Elizabeth National Park for dinner and overnight at Mweya Safari Lodge (Luxury) / Ihamba Safari Lodge (Deluxe) / Simba Safari Camp (Budget).

 

Day 5: Game drive and Boat Ride.
Have a cup of coffee and leave for a morning game drive within the park expecting to see Elephants, buffaloes, side stripped jackals, hyena, leopards, Lions, warthogs, Uganda Kobs,. Return for breakfast and rest waiting for lunch. Go for a boat ride along the Kazinga channel to see the hippos, buffaloes among others. Dinner and overnight at Mweya Safari Lodge (Luxury) / Ihamba Safari Lodge (Deluxe) / Simba Safari Camp (Budget).

 

 Day 6: Drive to Bwindi Impenetrable Forest National Park.
After breakfast, leave for Bwindi through the Ishasha sector to enjoying a game drive enroute . Watch the tree climbing Lions and proceed to the park after lunch. Dinner and overnight at Gorilla resort / Buhoma community Bandas.

 

 Day 7: Gorilla tracking and Cultural walk.
 After breakfast, with packed lunch you will transfer to the park headquarters for briefing and then later enter the thick forest of Bwindi in search for mountain gorillas. You will also visit the Batwa community (Pygmies) to explore their culture and entertainment. Dinner and overnight at Gorilla resort / Buhoma community camp.

 

Day 8: Drive to Kampala.
This morning have breakfast and then drive back to Kampala. The drive will take you to stop in one of the towns along the way for lunch and at the equator for photographs to reach the Kampala in the evening.
