4 Days Uganda Wildlife & Gorilla Tour, Lake Mburo & Bwindi Forest

DETAILED ITINERARY - 4 DAY UGANDA TOUR

DAY 1.Transfer to Lake Mburo National Park.
You will be picked from your hotel by a guide to the south western part of Uganda to Lake Mburo National Park. Arrive in time for afternoon game drive as you wait for lunch, then embark on an afternoon boat ride on lake Mburo or we can take a nature walk to the Salt Lick Area which is a strategically located wooden platform (Observation point). You will have the chance to see at least four different species of animals at any one point while they lick the salty soil. Dinner and overnight stay at either Mantana Tented Camp, Rwonyo Rest Camp or Lake View hotel Mabara.

DAY 2. Game drive and transfer to Bwindi.
After breakfast, go for a game drive as you before proceeding to Bwindi Impenetrable Forest. Expect an encounter with different animals such as Burchell’s zebras, Oribis, Defassa waterbucks, Bohor reedbuck, impalas, elands and other ungulates, also bird watching opportunities since the park is blessed with a number of birds such as African fin foot, papyrus bush shrike. Later hit the road to the home of gorillas. Dinner and overnight Gorilla forest camp / Silverback lodge / Bwindi view Bandas.

DAY 3. Gorilla tracking Adventure & Batwa community walk
Enjoy your early morning breakfast and head to the park headquarters with your packed lunch to be briefed about the “dos and don’ts” when you are with gorillas. Penetrate the Impenetrable Forest of Bwind in search for these Gentle Giants, taking 2-8 hours depending on their movement. Sight and stay is one hour maximum for observation and photographing. Time permitting, enjoy a remarkable nature walk in the Batwa community (pygmies). Dinner and overnight stay at your lodge on DAY 2.

DAY 4. Departure.
Enjoy your breakfast and drive back to Kampala. Lunch enroute in Mbarara town and a stopover at the equator for photography. Proceed to Kampala.
